Jitsi Meet setup becomes a priority when your company is tired of paying for Zoom or hitting call time limits. I’ll build you a video conferencing server on your own infrastructure: no subscriptions, no meeting limits, with recording and your logo instead of someone else’s brand.
What’s included
I take the task from requirements all the way to a working instruction guide. What you get is not just an installed Jitsi Meet, but a service configured for your specific meeting scenarios.
- Deploying Jitsi Meet on your server or VPS
- Domain and SSL certificate setup for secure connections
- Jibri for meeting recording
- Calendar integration
- Interface branding for your company
- Testing and an instruction guide for your staff

- Gathering requirements. I clarify the number of participants, whether you need meeting recording, and which integrations matter. This determines the server configuration.
- Deploying Jitsi Meet. I install and configure the service on your machine based on expected load.
- Domain and SSL. I connect your domain and set up a certificate so calls run over a secure connection.
- Recording, calendar, branding. I configure Jibri for meeting recording, calendar integration, and branding for your company.
- Testing and instructions. I check call quality under real load and hand over an instruction guide for your staff.
What hardware you’ll need
For meetings up to 30 participants, a server or VPS with 4 vCPU and 8 GB RAM is enough. If your meeting format is larger or the load is higher, I’ll size the configuration for your specific case.
What gets deployed
The server runs Jitsi Meet as the video conferencing core, Jibri for meeting recording, calendar integration, and interface branding. Everything runs on your own infrastructure, with no third-party services or subscriptions.
What you’ll get in the end
Your own video conferencing service with no subscriptions and no call time limits. Turnkey Jitsi Meet: configured, tested, with an instruction guide for your team. A Zoom replacement that you own, instead of renting it month to month.
Pricing
The base price covers installation and configuration of Jitsi Meet according to the described scenario. Server rental is not included, that’s a separate line item with your provider.
| Work | Cost |
|---|---|
| Turnkey video conferencing server (Jitsi Meet): base package (2-3 days) | from $110 |
| User authentication | from $33 |
| Scaling for large meetings | from $88 |
Not included in the price: Server rental.
After project delivery: 14 days of free fixes for any issues. After that: one-off work at $22/hour or support plans from $44/month.
What I need from you
- The domain the video conferencing service will run on
- A server or VPS with the required specs (or access details for an existing one)
- An estimate of expected meeting participant numbers and whether you need recording
- A contact point to work out details on integrations and branding
Frequently asked questions
Is Jitsi Meet setup done remotely?
Yes, the whole process is remote. No physical presence at your site is required.
How long does the setup take?
Usually 2-3 days from gathering requirements to handing over the working instructions.
What if we don’t have a server yet?
I’ll pick a configuration for your needs, all you’ll need to do is rent it from a provider. The rental itself is not included in the service price.
What happens after the project is delivered?
I fix any issues that come up free of charge for 14 days. After that, one-off work is billed separately, or you can get ongoing support.
Can we add user authentication or increase the number of meeting participants later?
Yes, this is done separately from the base installation, as an add-on service for your specific need.
How is this better than Zoom?
The service belongs to you, with no subscriptions and no call time limits. The only downside: nobody but you will send you a promo email reminding you to renew your plan.
