Tickets scattered across email, nobody remembers who got which laptop, and a new IT hire spends a week figuring out what’s actually on the books. GLPI implementation fixes exactly this: requests turn into tickets with a history, and hardware lands in the database automatically through agents. This fits IT departments and outsourcers where tracking and tickets still live in one person’s head.
GLPI is a free system for ticket tracking and hardware inventory. GLPI setup takes 2-3 days and is done remotely, no office visit needed.
What’s included
- Installing and configuring GLPI on your server or virtual machine
- Connecting to AD or LDAP (single employee directory for authentication)
- Email-to-ticket intake: an employee sends an email, it becomes a ticket automatically
- Inventory agents on workstations: hardware lands in the database without manual entry
- Setting up ticket categories and SLA (response and resolution times)
- Training and instructions for ongoing use

- Gathering requirements. I find out how your ticketing currently works, what needs to be inventoried, and which SLA timings matter to you.
- GLPI installation. I deploy the system on your server or VM and check basic operation.
- AD/LDAP and email integration. I connect authentication to your employee directory and set up email-based ticket intake.
- Inventory agents. I install GLPI Agent on workstations so hardware shows up in the inventory on its own.
- Categories, SLA, training. I configure the workflows and show you how to use the system day to day.
What hardware you’ll need
You need a server or virtual machine for GLPI. I’ll help pick an option if you don’t have ready infrastructure yet, we’ll discuss it during the requirements stage.
What gets deployed
- GLPI: the core system for ticket and asset tracking
- GLPI Agent: automatic workstation inventory agent
- Email-to-ticket intake with automatic ticket creation
- LDAP integration for unified authentication
- SLA by ticket category
- Basic reports on tickets and equipment
What you get in the end
A working helpdesk where employees submit requests by email instead of chasing an IT person down the hallway. Automatic inventory of your equipment fleet, no Excel spreadsheets that nobody updated for six months. And instructions so your team can run the system without me.
Pricing
Base price starts at 15,000 RUB, 2-3 days, remote work. If you need to migrate an existing asset database or customize forms and notifications, that’s separate work we’ll scope as needed.
| Work | Price |
|---|---|
| Helpdesk and inventory on GLPI: base package (2-3 days) | from 15,000 RUB |
| Import existing asset database | from 4,000 RUB |
| Custom forms and notifications | 2,000 RUB/hour |
After handover: 14 days of free fixes. After that: one-off work at 2,000 RUB/hour or support starting at 4,000 RUB/month.
What I need from you
- Access to Active Directory or LDAP for authentication integration
- Access to the mailbox that will receive tickets
- A server or virtual machine for GLPI installation
- A contact person who can answer questions about department structure and ticket categories
Frequently asked questions
How long does GLPI implementation take?
2-3 days, remote work, no office visit required.
What if we don’t have a server for GLPI?
I’ll help pick an option during the requirements stage, we’ll discuss what you already have and what needs to be deployed.
Can we migrate our old asset database?
Yes, that’s a separate add-on service: importing an existing asset database.
What happens after the project is handed over?
14 days of free fixes. After that, one-off hourly work or monthly support if you need ongoing coverage.
Do employees need training?
Yes, training is included in the base service, plus you get instructions so you don’t have to call me every time someone forgets where to click.
Can we customize ticket forms later?
Yes, customizing forms and notifications is a separate hourly service, if new requirements come up after implementation.
